05 June 2006: Alzheimer Scotland urges shoppers to get walking

SHOPPERS at Buchanan Galleries are being urged to walk the mall to raise awareness of dementia.

Comedian Craig Hill launched Alzheimer Scotland's bid to get shoppers to wear a pedometer for its Good for You, Good for Your Brain campaign today, with £500 worth of vouchers up for grabs.

The charity aims to tell people ways to reduce their risk of developing dementia in later life, such as taking regular exercise and learning new skills.
