Get together for a Tea & Blether!
Host a Tea & Blether fundraiser during Dementia Awareness Week and help us make sure nobody in Scotland faces dementia alone
Receiving a diagnosis of dementia can be a devastating and frightening time both for the person with dementia and for their families and friends. Sadly, many people with dementia tell us that friends and even family drift away after their diagnosis. People can find it difficult to know how to react when they hear the news that a friend has dementia.
By holding a Tea & Blether you can help people feel less awkward, embarrassed or uncertain when they find out that their friend has dementia. Just by telling personal stories and sharing the simple hints and tips at your Tea & Blether you can help your friends, family and colleagues understand a bit more about dementia over a cup of tea and some tasty home baking.
The money you raise will help Alzheimer Scotland to make sure nobody faces dementia alone, and having a blether about dementia over a cuppa will help us all to be more open about our experiences of living with dementia.
