We know that a diagnosis of dementia is not the end

A diagnosis of dementia is not the end

However, every day another twenty people in Scotland will be diagnosed with dementia.

Shockingly, many of these people are left to cope with their diagnosis without support, until they get to the point of needing care services.

This is not acceptable. People with early stage dementia and their families need much more immediate help. With the right support and information people with dementia can lead a full, active and, most of all, enjoyable life for many years.

No one should face coming to terms with a diagnosis of dementia alone

Help us to

  • Expand our post-diagnostic support across Scotland so that people with dementia can have the best quality of life possible in their local community and with their family and friends
  • Continue to provide our Freephone 24-hour Dementia Helpline for emotional support and information
  • Campaign for the rights and voices of people with dementia to be respected at all levels in society.

Please give generously to the Christmas appeal.
With your support we can do even more.

Yours sincerely

Henry Simmons
