Memory Bus Appeal
Alzheimer Scotland wants to make sure that no-one goes through dementia alone. That's easier said than done, particularly in Scotland's remote, rural communities. Even in our towns and cities, people with dementia and their families often find it difficult to access support or get information when they need it – and not everyone is connected to the Internet or feels comfortable discussing their concerns over the phone.
This year we want to raise £50,000 to purchase and fit out a vehicle so we can provide a mobile information and advice service.
From Yell to Yetholm
The Memory Bus will help us reach people across Scotland, wherever they are, bringing information and advice to those living with dementia and raising awareness of dementia in our local communities. We want to take the bus to shopping centres, car parks, village halls, farmers' markets, and high streets, from Yell to Yetholm, and all points in between.
Together we make a difference
I know that many of you reading this letter already donate regularly to us - without you, we could not provide our essential Dementia Care Services , Dementia Advisors, Dementia Nurses and the 24 Hour Dementia Helpline. Together, we are really making a difference and we thank you for helping make this possible.
However, the number of families coping with dementia continues to rise at an alarming rate and so we must keep doing more and doing it better. By donating to this appeal, you will be helping us make a real difference to the lives of people unable to access information or support or who don't know where to go to get it.

Yours faithfully
