Cycling for Alzheimer Scotland

Alzheimer Scotland : Vietnamese rice paddyEnjoy beautiful rural landscapes, ancient ruins and Buddhist temples. Experience the warmth and hospitality of the local people on this 500km cycle challenge finishing at the famous Angkor Wat.

Our challenge will take you from Ho Chi Min City (formerly Saigon), Vietnam’s biggest city, through the Mekong delta into Cambodia. En route visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, which provided sanctuary for the Vietcong during the Vietnam War.

You will cycle through the heart of rural Mekong, passing banana plantations, sugar cane and paddy fields. You will cross by motor boat into Cambodia and head to the capital city Phnom Penh. From here you will have the opportunity to visit the infamous killing fields and to learn more about Cambodia’s turbulent history.
