Dementia Awareness Week 2008 – what’s on

As usual there’s a lot going on during Dementia Awareness Week. Here is a brief mention of the events and activities we know about so far. Do go along to show your support to an event in your area.

South Aberdeenshire

• Tuesday 3 June (10-11.30) - coffee morning and sale of work at Invercarron Resource Centre, Stonehaven
• Tuesday 3 June (10-11.30) - coffee morning at Dalvenie, Banchory
• Thursday 5 June - walk and Alzheimer Cafe in Aboyne

• Tuesday 3rd June (10-4) - a manned stand at Morrison’s Supermarket, Hume Street, Arbroath
• Monday 26 May to Friday 6 June (10-4). Forget-me-not Charity Shop at the Masonic Hall, Coutties Wynd, Forfar. A jumble sale follows on Saturday 7th June from 10-12.

• Tayside Managed Care Network events: Tuesday 3 June (6.30-8.30) – Free Public Lecture on Current Research in Dementia, Lecture Theatre 1, Ninewells Medical School, Dundee.

• Friday 6 June – Quiz Night in the Angus Hotel
• All week – stands in public and staff areas of Perth Royal Infirmary
