It gives a wide range of grants including Major Programme grants, PhD Studentships, Research Equipment, Network Cooperation grants, Emergency Support grants, Pilot Project grants and Research and Clinical Fellowships.

Scottish Dementia Clinical Research Network SDCRN has been set up to promote a culture of clinical research in dementia across Scotland and improve recruitment to high quality studies from both urban and rural areas. They are increasing the number of people with dementia and carers in clinical studies in Scotland through a research interest register of volunteers.
