Alzheimer Scotland has appointed local involvement officers across Scotland. The purpose of these posts is to develop and support groups of people with dementia and carers so that they can speak out and campaign around their needs. Local involvement officers are working with individuals and groups of people affected by dementia and seeking to ensure that statutory and independent organisations improve their understanding and responses to the needs of people with dementia and their carers.
