Julie Gordon thought her grandmother was going to die last summer. After ten years with Alzheimer's Disease, it seemed that Catherine Fitzgerald had finally lost the battle. However, Julie's grandmother pulled through and that unexpected rallying persuded Julie that if her grandmother could make such a herculean effort, then so could she.

Julie will be running the 2008 Flora London Marathon on April 13th, along with her brother Martin,and cousin Mark, to raise money for Alzheimer Scotland. She'll also be writing a weekly training diary for the Daily Record: read Julie's training diary in the Daily Record online.
