Autumn running events with Alzheimer Scotland
Alzheimer Scotland is seeking bravehearted runners to take part in the Great Scottish Run and Loch Ness Marathon in autumn 2008. Make a personal challenge into a great acheivement by raising much-needed cash for people with dementia and their carers across Scotland.

The Fresh 'n' Lo Great Scottish Run is a major highlight in Scotland’s running calendar and takes place in Glasgow on Sunday 7 September. Participants can choose to run the half marathon or the 10k. The race starts in George Square and will take you past some of Glasgow’s most famous attractions (including a stretch over the Kingston Bridge!), finishing in Glasgow Green.
Alzheimer Scotland has Charity Assured places for the 2008 Baxter’s Loch Ness Marathon on Sunday 5 October, so you can beat the ballot and secure your place right now! The Loch Ness Marathon is growing in size every year and it boasts one of the most scenic running routes in the world. It costs only £30 to guarantee your entry (entry fee subsidised by Alzheimer Scotland) and all we ask is that you pledge to raise around £400 in sponsorship.
For both events we will provide you with sponsor forms, fundraising tips and of course a t-shirt or running vest to wear on the day. We can also help with any publicity that may help your fundraising along!
To find out more, contact us via our online information requestion form, email events@alzscot.org or call Moira (our fundraising events manager) on 0845 2600 789.
