Care for a curry - sit down in Edinburgh and stand up in Glasgow!
Scotland's two big cities are gearing up for the official launch of Care for a curry? - Alzheimer Scotland's brand new fundraising campaign. So no matter what the weather might bring, Alzheimer Scotland will make sure that it's a hot, hot, hot summer!
The fun starts in Edinburgh (Musselburgh, to be precise!) with an evening of fine Indian dining at the Quay on Thursday 15th May. This event will be raising funds for a specialist dementia nurse - a cause that's also being supported by Quay owner Charan Gill, who is contributing £1000. There are only a handful of tickets left for this, so if an evening of superb food and a luxury prize auction is your plate of pakora, email careforacurry@alzscot.org or call Moira on 0845 2600 789 asap!
Glasgow will be taking the campaign into midsummer, with a fantastic curry & comedy night at The Stand (Glasgow's top comedy club) on Monday 16th June. Tickets are a bargain at £7 each (£5 concession), which includes a free Indian finger buffet. Jokes and Jalfrezi - you won't find a better Glasgow night out! For further information and ticket details, email careforacurry@alzscot.org or call Angi on 0141 418 3930.
