Scottish Comedian Craig Hill has a cuppa for Alzheimer Scotland
Scottish comedian Craig Hill is encouraging fellow Scots to brew up a cuppa for Alzheimer Scotland’s Tea Break event (4th-11th June) to raise funds for people with dementia and their carers.
Craig has decided to support Alzheimer Scotland’s annual fundraising event ‘Tea Break’ after caring for his own mother who had Alzheimer’s and experiencing first hand how devastating the illness can be.
Craig says, “Please support Alzheimer Scotland’s National Tea Day and make your cuppa count! Dementia is a devastating illness that robs people of their memory and identity. More needs to be done to recognise the needs of people with the illness as well as those who are caring for them 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.”
It’s easy to organise a Tea Break. It can be held at work, home, school, church or club - anywhere with a kettle will do! Simply ask your guests for a donation for each cuppa.
Register now to receive a free Tea Break pack including posters, books of raffle tickets, invitations, quizzes and competition sheets.
All money raised stays in Scotland, helping local people and supports the 24hour freephone Helpline – 0808 808 3000 - and information services. Alzheimer Scotland has over 60 projects and branches throughout Scotland so you will be helping someone near you.
Please give our Freephone 24hr Dementia Helpline telephone number: 0808 808 3000 and our website address: www.alzscot.org at the end of articles.
