Palliative Care Initiative - Contact Trainers
If your organisation is considering developing palliative care you can contact one of the trainers who has taken part in the iniative to discuss their experience.
The exciting year long 'Palliative Care' initiative has now been successfully completed. It was funded by the Scottish Government and was a partnership between Alzheimer Scotland, Dumfries and Galloway Health Board and The University of the West of Scotland. We will post the report and evaluation on the web when ready.
Lasting legacy
The lasting legacy of the project is:-
- Alzheimer Scotland's continued commitment to embed a palliative care approach to care for people with dementia across a wide range of settings including health and social care
- The experience gained and the value of shared learning between family members and friends and staff
- Promoting the use of the unique palliative care and dementia course initially developed in the award winning Beyond Barriers project .
- Providing high quality palliative care and dementia learning materials and training for trainers or individualised training courses (see Palliative Care in Dementia - training course)
