Draft Partial Regulatory Impact Assessment for Proposed Vulnerable Adults Bill

Alzheimer Scotland's response to the Scottish Executive consultation submitted 10 February 2006

Alzheimer Scotland is pleased to respond to the Draft Partial Regulatory Impact Assessment for the Proposed Vulnerable Adults (Scotland) Bill. In response to the specific questions posed we support the following options.

Page 6: Alzheimer Scotland supports the third option, which is to introduce new legislative measures to afford Scotland-wide protection for vulnerable adults.

Page 7: Alzheimer Scotland supports the third option, which is to establish a list of people unsuitable to work with vulnerable adults.

Page 12: Alzheimer Scotland supports the third option, which is to creaste statutory Adult Protection Committees to further develop strategic inter-agency working and collaboration.

Page 20: Alzheimer Scotland supports the proposed amendments to Part 3 of the Adults with Incapacity Act.
