Office Administrator (21 hours a week, 5 days per week, 9am – 1.15pm with one day 9am-1.00 pm)

Salary: £16,494 to £17,820 (pro rata) (Pay award pending)

This post is a permanent position within a small but extremely busy team based in Edinburgh’s West End. We are seeking a self-motivated, efficient and meticulous person to be the office administrator at our National Office.

You will need to demonstrate initiative and calmly juggle front line services with administration work to include database, record keeping, mailings and lunch time reception cover.

Ideally you will be a good team player and people person with the ability to direct staff. Excellent customer relations, negotiating skills and an ability to communicate effectively on the telephone and in writing with managers, staff throughout Scotland and suppliers is essential.

Helpline Assistant 35 hours per week (some planned weekend working required)


Salary £17,352-£18,783 (pay award pending)
Are you an efficient administrator with good communication skills who likes working with people? If so, this might be the job for you.
You will provide the administrative support for the smooth and efficient running of our 24 hour Dementia Helpline, ensuring that it is continually staffed. You will assist our Helpline Manager with the administration of the recruitment, training and support processes for our Helpline volunteers. You will also maintain stock control and distribution of information materials and co-ordinate mailings to publicise both the Helpline and our publications. Well-developed administrative and communication skills are essential for this post, while previous experience of working in the voluntary sector with volunteers or carers is desirable.
