Realising that many people find it difficult when a friend has dementia and that most information available is written specifically for professionals, for family carers or for people with dementia themselves, the authors of this booklet asked people about their experiences of being a ‘friend’. Family carers were also asked what had been helpful to them and what their relatives with dementia had appreciated. This booklet is the result.
