Donepezil hydrochloride (marketed as Aricept) is one of a group of three drugs for people with Alzheimer's disease called cholinesterase inhibitors. The other two are called rivastigmine (common brand name Exelon) and galantamine hydrobromide (common brand name Reminyl).
