Symptoms and diagnosis

Memory loss is a common early symptom in most forms of dementia but some people find it is their personality or behaviour that is affected.  As these problems can be caused by other conditions, it is important to discuss your worries with your doctor who will do some tests and may refer you to a specialist for more detailed examination and possible diagnosis.
