What we offer

As a Branch our main activities are fundraising and awareness raising.  We are a volunteer group of people who have previously care for or are currently caring for somebody with dementia.  We are all passionate about making a difference and improving their lives.

We organise a variety of fundraising events throughout the year and a social evening meal at Christmas for people with dementia and their carers which creates a social opportunity to meet informally and enjoy each other's company.  Friends and relatives are also welcome to attend.

During 2019/20 we are concentrating our fundraising on raising £100,000 to kit out a proposed Dementia Resource Centre in our area and we are well on our way to achieving this.  The Dementia Resource Centre will provide information and services for carers and the cared for from the onset of dementia until the later stages.  All the funds we raise stay in Stirling and Clackmannanshire and we work closely with the local Service to improve the lives of people with dementia and their carers.

We welcome new people on the Branch at any time but if a Committee is not for you we would welcome you to come along and join us as a volunteer at any of our Branch meetings or our events.  We meet regularly several times a year.  If you are interested in joining us don't hesitate to contact any of the Office Bearers.  We would very much welcome your support.  We can make a difference.
