Just one lucky raffle ticket is all it will take to jet off from Scotland to an exciting worldwide destination in 2020!

East Dunbartonshire's Provost Alan Brown is keen to make it happen.

He is raffling a pair of Turkish Airlines tickets – from Edinburgh Airport to anywhere on the airline’s network of over 300 worldwide destinations – for his Provost's Charity, which for this raffle is raising funds for both Alzheimer Scotland and Motor Neurone Disease Scotland, causes that are very important to him and to Depute Provost Gary Pews.

Raffle tickets are on sale at £5 each from now until the draw takes place at the Council’s Marina HQ in Kirkintilloch on Friday 22 November. The flight tickets are valid until December 2020. The lucky winner must select their destination and book their flight dates soon after the draw, and by Monday 16 December 2019.

Provost Brown said, “I’m delighted to have this opportunity to raffle these flights, generously donated by Turkish Airlines. I hope that people will support these good causes by buying tickets – and wouldn’t it be a great Christmas present to win two flights for next year to anywhere in the world?”

Gokhan Haciibrahimoglu, Turkish Airlines’ General Manager in Edinburgh, said:
“Turkish Airlines is committed to supporting all the communities within which we operate, so the opportunity to support a cause like this was one we simply couldn’t pass up on. We believe travel is key to widening people’s worlds by helping them to experience new countries and cultures. We hope that the lucky winner is able to make the most of the fact that we fly to more countries than any other airline and visit their dream destination with Turkish Airlines.”

Watch out for the Provost and Depute Provost Gary Pews throughout East Dunbartonshire over the coming weeks, where they will be selling tickets for this fantastic prize.

Anyone interested in buying tickets please contact the Provost on 07917 651 755.

Winners must be over 18.  Full terms and conditions for the flight tickets are available on the Provost’s page of the Council website.
