Alzheimer Scotland is delighted to announce our new and exciting partnership with the online gaming community, OiOi Games.

The new partnership will help to raise dementia awareness within the gaming community whilst gaining support to make sure nobody faces dementia alone in Scotland.

Each week on the Alzheimer Scotland Facebook page, we’ll be sharing a link to a live stream of gaming events with the best gamers recognised with a special certificate.

Our first live stream will be on Friday 24 April 2020 and OiOi have decided to kick things off with the ever-popular Minecraft. We’re encouraging people of all ages to help us build our first world in Minecraft and since team OiOi have never played the series, we are looking for all you talented crafters out there to help them out.

OiOi’s leaders, Andrew, Ross and Grahame aim to raise vital funds for Alzheimer Scotland through the partnership and there will be an opportunity to donate via our Facebook page donate buttons. We’re only asking those who are comfortable enough, and in a position to do so, to donate.

We are also looking for anyone who can donate old video games and consoles that we can auction off on the site and donate the money to Alzheimer Scotland. So, if you’ve got some gaming items lying about collecting dust, please get in touch via Facebook and help us raise money to ensure that nobody faces dementia alone in Scotland.

We’re looking forward to this family friendly entertainment and hope you can join in by watching or playing. Keep an eye on the Alzheimer Scotland Facebook page for more information about how you can get involved, coming soon!
