Our supporters are amazing

We would like to say a massive thank you to Allan and the team at Selkirk Distillers for their generous donation of hand sanitizer for our Alzheimer Scotland services in Glasgow.

The delivery was very much welcomed by our team at our supported accommodation service in Springboig, who continue to provide a Housing Support and Care at Home services to Croftspar Place tenants 24 hours per day.

The hand sanitizer will also be utilised by our team who are normally based at our Bridgeton Dementia Resource Centre, as they visit the most vulnerable residents of our community during these challenging times.

We are extremely appreciative to Selkirk Distillers for the donation of 20 x 100 ml hand sanitizer gel bottles, and a 20 litre container of sanitizer, which allows us to safely continue to help to ensure that nobody in Scotland faces dementia alone.

Pictured are our amazing colleagues Babs Lees and Erin Feeney who both work at our Croftspar supported accommodation service, with the delivery from Selkirk Distillers.

Gail Dolan, Lead Locality Fundraiser, is continuing to work with our Gin contacts across the country to source donations of hand sanitizer to be distributed across all of our services in Scotland.

Katie Taylor, locality fundraiser, added "Gail and I are in awe of our amazing colleagues who are continuing to deliver our services under these difficult circumstances, thank you!  We both appreciate that everyone is adjusting to a new normal, and feel so proud to work for Alzheimer Scotland".

At present we have also expanded the capacity of our 24 hour, freephone helpline, (0808 808 3000) to cope with increased demand and our frontline staff are using digital platforms to allow them to continue to deliver group sessions and individual appointments.

Stay safe and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries or need any further information.
