Creative Activities and Practice for People Living with Dementia
Alzheimer Scotland has a wealth of experience in supporting people with dementia and families as they face the many changes which dementia brings.
This study tour theme focuses on our asset-based approach to engaging with each person with dementia in ways which are personally meaningful, therapeutic and enjoyable. It explores activities which enhance confidence, well-being, supports skills and connections; old and new.
The activities are evidence informed, person and relationship-centred. There is no ‘one-size-fits all’ and the changing nature of dementia necessitates creative, flexible thinking, from early post-diagnostic experiences to living with advanced dementia.
If you would like to include this theme in your two day study tour, get in touch with our team today.
