Rehabilitation and Reablement for People Living with Dementia

Alzheimer Scotland is in the unique position to be hosting, in partnership, a national programme to transform the contribution of allied health professionals (AHP) as outlined in the AHP national policy document.

This study tour theme will explore the role of rehabilitation and reablement in dementia with a focus on the development of AHP universal self-management information and advice (including social media and online surgeries), through to specialist evidence-based AHP interventions (including home based memory rehabilitation, journey through dementia and tailored activity programme). The rich learning from a strategic leadership and improvement approach behind this work will be explored; sharing case studies, films and hearing from the people involved.
