What does it do?

  • It's a china tea cup with an extra handle to give a little extra support

The original cup we tested is no longer available, but the links below take you to alternative products

What’s the problem?

  • You sometimes find a big mug of tea is too heavy
  • You worry about spilling your tea or coffee and getting burned
  • Your hands are a bit shaky sometimes, and an extra handle would make it easier to lift a cup

What I liked

The cup's packaging is just a simple white cardboard box, there is no label or instructions, but it's designed so that the cup is kept firmly into place. There is a piece of cardboard between the cup and the saucer so there's no risk of breakage.

I care for an elderly lady who has dementia and the first minute she saw the cup she fell in love with it. The cup is fine china, and it looks a traditional tea cup, but with the added value of the second handle. My client struggles holding a mug full of tea and this could be a great solution.

What is interesting

My client loves the cup and she uses it regularly . She wishes she had a full set so that she could offer tea to her friends in them. Overall it's a great design and it gives my client more independence as she can use both hands to drink her tea, without fearing to burn her hands.

What I thought about it overall

The tea cup is really good. It helps my client to drink her tea confidently, but also retaining her dignity, not having to use one of those plastic beakers with two handles.

What I liked

The cup is classic chinaware, great for the more traditional
Two handles give better grip

What I disliked

NOT suitable for dishwashers.
It's quite a small cup so perhaps not great if you like a large mug of tea/coffee

What is interesting

The cup is fine china, much better than a plastic two handled beaker!

What I thought about it overall

As soon as she saw the cup she fell in love with it.
