Scottish Dementia Working Group Volunteer - East Renfrewshire
The Scottish Dementia Working Group (SDWG) are the independent voice of people with dementia within Alzheimer Scotland. All members of the SDWG have a diagnosis of dementia.
We are a friendly group led by people with dementia. As a national group our members attend meetings, events and conferences across Scotland. We urgently need friendly and reliable volunteers to support our members when travelling to group activities.
We are looking for volunteers to start as soon as possible and ideally commit to a few days each month. Opportunities can be flexible as meetings and demand vary across the year.
All travel expenses will be covered. Essential training and support will be provided including dementia awareness training.
For this role Alzheimer Scotland volunteers are required to complete PVG Scheme Membership.
For more information on volunteering with the SDWG or to discuss how you can volunteer with SDWG please contact: Marc Buchanan (Development Officer) : [email protected] or telephone 0141 418 3938

I can’t praise the Alzheimer Scotland staff highly enough. They’ve been great to Bill and me all these years. I don’t know what we would have done without them!
