Dementia can be so lonely, whether you have the condition or are a carer. When Ian received his diagnosis Alzheimer Scotland became a lifeline for us
This Christmas it would mean the world to us if you could help them build the foundations of the Virtual Resource Centre. Please give our family, and thousands more like us, the gift of knowing Alzheimer Scotland will continue to be here for us when we need them the most.
For most of us Christmas is a time of celebration but with darker nights, colder weather and the ongoing coronavirus restrictions, the festive period can also be confusing and lonely for many of the 90,000 people in Scotland living with dementia.
The impact of coronavirus on our dementia community this year has been devastating. With our physical doors shut, our dedicated teams across Scotland have adapted and reimagined our services, accelerating our digital innovations to give people much needed stability and support. Which is why we are building the UK’s first Virtual Dementia Resource Centre. This exciting digital innovation will help us reach people who need our support when we can’t be there in person.
By supporting Alzheimer Scotland this festive season, you will help us to be there for people living with dementia, making sure no one is alone, this Christmas and beyond.
