The Spotlight series will bring practitioners, people living with dementia and their carers together to raise awareness and deepen our understanding of dementia and inequalities that exist across Scotland.

Each workshop will be delivered co-productively with individuals and professionals with either lived experience or expertise in the focus areas.

The Race and ethnicity workshop focuses on dementia in those who are black or minority ethnic (BME) and is being facilitated by MECOPP.

This workshop makes up one of 5 key areas being explored by the Spotlight series taking place over February and March:

- Age – younger onset dementia (under the age of 65 years)
- Learning disabilities
- Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT)
- Race and ethnicity – black or minority ethnic (BME)
- Disability – sensory impairment.

Attending any of the Spotlight sessions is free of charge, however space is limited.
