Day services volunteer

Day Service volunteers directly support people living with dementia to communicate and actively participate in hobbies, interests and activities they enjoy within a small group setting.

This role will directly support people living with dementia who attend our local day services alongside our staff. You will be part of a small team offering person centred, individualised support that meets the needs of each person who attends.

What skills are required for this role?

Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills are essential to this role as is confidence and an interest in directly supporting people living with dementia. You must feel comfortable working in a Day service environment and be willing to proactively work towards helping people with dementia.

This role is suitable for people who can offer a regular commitment to our Day services.

As with all volunteering roles, there will be training where required and ongoing support from our Volunteer team. Full job descriptions will be available upon application.
