What we offer
All of our groups are currently postponed in our localities. We are making plans to host these digitally and our website will be updated in due course. Meanwhile, please call us if you have any questions.
The centre aims to support people with dementia, their families, relatives and friends at any stage of the illness. The following support is on offer:
- Information and advice
- Community activities for people with dementia and carers
- Peer support groups for people with dementia and carers.
See below for a full list of what is available in the East Ayrshire area.

In addition to our varied activity calendar, we are also offering longer half-day opportunities to deliver therapeutic outcomes and provide carer respite in the form of ‘The Sessions’. You’ll notice certain key differences from our usual activities immediately.
Firstly, they last longer – we want to be able to take the time to let skills develop and nurture talent, and we want to allow carers proper respite.
Secondly, they build towards a tangible result, such as, a picture, a foreign language, a performance – we want to stimulate and create.
Thirdly, they include lunch – the social glue of a shared meal will be very important to success.
And finally, there’s a cost attached – but a cost that we believe is very reasonable, and SDS payments can be used.
