I am a carer
Dementia doesn’t just affect the person with the illness, it affects the people most involved in their day-to-day care and support.
You are not alone
Regardless of the relationship you have with the person you care for, your role as a carer will likely bring challenges and changes to that relationship. The most important thing to remember is that you don’t have to do it alone.
Our booklet ‘Coping with dementia’ provides information and advice for people who care for someone in the middle to late stages of dementia.
The booklet aims to:
• help you feel less alone
• give you practical advice on coping
• help you to find caring more rewarding and less stressful
• show you where to go for help and for more information.
You can download a PDF copy of the booklet below.
For external organisations who wish to order bulk printed copies, please contact info@alzscot.org for print and postage costs (minimum order of 100 copies).
Alternatively, keep reading this page to find out more information on carer support.
